It was a fantastic year for me, the world, and art. Nice one Doreen. I was given some photographs from my father in law, he’s a photographer, I intended to use them in a similar way, but they are so good I wasn’t able to pluck up the courage to cut them up and paint over them. I might just post them. The stain is an essential element in this, brings it out of the dark.
Actually…were You born in ‘77?…oh well…lol! Thank You. I recall that these photos were ’extras’ or rejects that I had printed. It also must have been helpful that I was majorly ‘unbalanced’… HA! I love stains, ‘planes’ and auto-mobility. Thanks for noticing. I can understand needing the courage to cut them up, totally… and sometimes the piece is revealed in the ‘cut-up’, in a ‘sculptural approach’…so to speak!
