A short return to my old series “Impossible love” – this time a work on glass. 
The owner of “The eternal Minuet” 
(a little older piece of mine) wanted a window with this story. The window will be for the same room, therefore some elements of the canvas can be found on this glass.

Wow, Dorina!! So you cut the glass for stained glass? And did you also add paint to the glass, or is all of the color all of the effects cut in the glass itself?
Which ever way, it is most impressive and beautiful.
But I also am so curious. What a beautiful home this must be with your painting and now glass work.

Frannie, is just painted glass… and the lead is applied to create stained glass effect. Also in some areas I applied gold leaf and silver leaf…but the image may not show their effect.
I’ve not seen any myself this house, I’m curious too how will looks the mounted glass there. :)

Oh my! A window! I am trying to image how differently this window must appear at the different times of day; the sun’s light will penetrate so softly at dawn, so powerfully at noon, and softly from a different angle at dusk…..not to mention the light of a full moon on a clear night! I am sure the owners of this window will spend years getting to know the many moods of their new addition, as if it is a new painting each hour. Bravo Dorina!

I’m glad you like it, Phil! …and yes, from my previous experiences, the color light effect is wonderful and in an permanent change at the same time, different depending on time of day…I hope it will be on their expectations. :)

Dorina, in response to your reply, above. This is really exciting. It looks like stained glass. Very effective. I did notice the leaf applied, too and its shimmering effect. That’s when I began to wonder if the entire glass was painted, or part of it. Gosh how beautiful!!
