An interesting affect yes but unfortunately not a good one this is what you get when water seeps in to your 17.40mm canon lens I now have it in a bag of rice in the hope that it will dry out .

this is outstanding Donovan
Thank you Carol glad you like it.
Pure magic and just like a fantasy, Donovan !!! Shame about the lens, I hope you get it dried out soon.
Thanks Phil I hope I am not having a fantasy about my lens recovering
Outstanding capture Donovan.
Thanks so much Julie.
Lovely shot Don, even with the mistyness. Looks like we both had a nice day (accept for your lens). Keen to try again next Wednesday if your up for it? There is still a heap of water about hey.
All good, as I found a real beauty yesterday anyway. I’ll meet you at your joint next Wednesday afternoon and we’ll pop off from there?
nice work mate, considering!!Was it condensation from breath, or other? Breathing is bad sometimes, lol, i had a similar thing happen from my breath on a cold morning…the 5D2 is pretty well sealed, but it still got in there, and fogged up everything, mainly the live-view!
Cheers Mate not breath but stupidity as I was changing lenses on a rock in a stream I accidentally placed the 17-40mm to close to the edge and it rolled in to the shallows .auto focus is not working at the moment..
Oh no… hope you have insurance Donovan or that it can be saved. Such a good lens.
Nice composition, good luck with your lens.
