As I said last night I reckon this one is truly superb. Very artistic, the perfect irregularity of nature. It’s not a classic bub shot though so will be interested in the reponse you get for it here (the ol’ does it say look at me as a thumbnail bub issue). A good shot is a good shot though. Thanks for letting me enjoy it again and a great trip to a truly obscure drop yesterday, found the road we drove in on, on the rooftop map and added it to the vicmap.

  • Thanks for coming up Trav and I hope your tire got you home without a hassle and yes will this photo stand up in an oversaturated world.

This is an amazing shot Don, I love the mist behind, it really gives a distorted view of depth, like it could be a tree low in a valley or it could be on a cliff somewhere.. awesome atmosphere!

  • Thanks Simone its a bit fine artish maybe?

A bit of both I think Don… I could easily see this in a nature book or hanging on a wall as a canvas!

Hauntingly powerful image and informative writeup, Donovan. Keep doing what you’re doing (aside from sap-eating)!
