This is the superb lyre bird dancing and singing on a mound he clears in the undergrowth he dose this to let all know that this is his territory and he is the dominant male .this shot is the accumulation of many hours . Yarra Ranges,

    I can only imagine how patient you must have been to get such a great shot. I tend to see lots of lyrebirds on my travels but generally I only see their ass as they run away. Although I’ve never tried the little secret you told me a little while back to get them to display. Great shot mate, getting some superb shots of late. I’ve gotta go out Wednesday this week and the wife ain’t keen on me going out two nights in a row so could we do our little trip Thursday week instead.
