Ok in my last post i made comment about my home made 20 foot monopod .so this is how its done .No stilts or ladders needed i just hand hold the camera focas on the scene i would like to shoot then set the camera to manual join it to the monopod set the self timer for 10sec then lift up camera to the desired hight and try to hold it straight and steady thats about it ..
great shot mate, looks like the monopod is coming along well! The trees are looking great as ever, love this time of year in Marysville will hopefully be up in the next couple of weeks for those foggy early mornings!
Thanks Alistair the trees are all but bare now but there has been a lot of fog .I think there is more fog up the valley than in the past must be the lack of trees.
LOL Don, when we brought our block near the beach my hubby attached my camera to the top of his survey pole – about 5m up, I had my 5m long remote chord attached and he turned it round and we got a 360 degree view of what we ‘might’ be able to see from all the way up there… the final product is much better and we get some lovely views from the deck around 6m from our original ground level… it is fun to see things from different angles every now and then!!
You have a 5m long Remote chord wow i will look in to one of them Thanks Rosie.

Good idea Donovan, I’ve been shooting from the top of my SUV for years, I need to buy a Box Van to get really up there!

Nice!
I like the results you get from your twenty foot monopod. Very different perspective. Nice.
