This is the first time that i have returned to the razorback of the Cathedral ranges since the fires .the roads are still closed and the walking tracks no longer seem to be there .and the scars of fire are all around.
fire marysville buxton cathedral range
Wow,how heartbreaking! I’ve walked the razorback a couple of times, it was always rugged but this is something else. Great capture Donovan, love the POV.
Thanks Jenni its still stunning up there.
Certainly looks cooked, thanks for sharing this I was wondering how everything fared up in my favorite spot close to Melbourne.
still a special place and i am planning to go back for a better sky..
Interesting to see this. I’ve never been there and probably never will but I appreciate the devistation that has been caused and can only hope that it regenerates.

It appears almost alient in its colouring
Amazing capture Donovan, very raw.
A wonderful, evocative perspective and lovely light, Donovan. Scarred, yes, but there’s green amongst the brown.
Certainly a sad sight Donovan..here’s hoping the regeneration will be quick. Great viewpoint. I remember climbing up here in the dark years ago.
