Oh Donovan, this is stunning! The reds connect so well, and truly capture me. Your words couldn’t be more true either. Well done, my friend, well done.

Even in my tame part of the world, the river fishermen understand the ecology much better it seems than many farmers and tell tales of how it has changed over the past thirty years – blaming many of the vineyards for the pollution of the water. Taking for one’s needs is very different from greedy thoughtless pillaging.

Excellent capture. Makes me long to grab my rod and head for the river. Well done. I too agree about the need to protect our valuable resources. Good for you to keep it in the light. Thanks

I keep coming back to look at this again, Donovan. I’m absolutely captivated by it – the striking match of the red in the rod and the fish, the clear and ‘alive’ water glistening in the sun, the beautiful focus, the patterns and color that the rocks bring. Just absolutely a fabulous image!

WOW! : )

Gorgeous shot! Love how the colors repeat themselves throughout. May I request your permission to paint this image in watercolor? I haven’t attempted water but it would be good practice.
Donovan wilson replied

Jono Winnel
Uh huh! Only a fly fisherman would spend so much time up in the high country. Beautfiul shot, you captured the colours great. Though rainbow trout have also caused a LOT of damage to the aquatic ecosystems in Australia….
Donovan wilson replied
Thanks Jono i know you are right abuut the Damage trout do but they can not change there nature .we cause the most damage can we change the nature OF MAN BEFORE ITS TO LATE..
