there is so much to like about this image… apart from the perfect timing which is amazing… it just has so many design elements working perfectly in the one space… from the completey horizontal yellow line to the angled wall working beautifully against a grid background. The tones are just so perfect and so give this a painterly feel which I love. Great piece indeed Adrian. Love it!
the pedestrian, the guy even, he has a certain angular posture and balance which fits exactly with the composition and ambience of the rest of the photograph.. – neither the mailbox or his head breach the beige backdrop but are exactly aligned with the outer top limit.. is he a model or have you waited for the right person to come along? To wait for this guy to come along and take him at the particular point where his head exactly meets the angled wall – man, that’s something else! blows me away, again!
I love the hues of his clothes and the background, and the post boxes against them. Also love the lines, both horizontal and angled and of course the yellow line. It all just works together so well.

Wow! Wonderful light and composition. Looks like the post box might have just dropped in from another world and the guy isn’t aware of it yet.

Thanks for your comments Simon, all my ‘people in urban landscapes’ shots are just opportunistic, I look for an interesting background and just wait.
