Alien world
A continuation of the ‘car park’ theme. This one was inspired by Enrico Bettesworth’s ‘Underworld’ and Andrew Brown’s ‘Underground’. My challenge was to interpret this site differently from those two artists. I hope I have been partially successful in achieving this.

The way the concrete glistens.. the way that grate works in the lighter coloured panel on the ground… Tones and light are used to maximum effect… There is so much to delve into here… BRILLIANT WORK Adrian! Thanks Holly, the longest part was the processing, about an hour all up. Its a blend of five exposures ranging from about two seconds to thirty seconds. HDR software was used for this process, and then I did some extra work using some photoshop plug in filters.

There is an interesting feeling of depth in this shot. The lighting and textures enhance this – somehow gritty yet paradoxically uplifting too. Futuristic yet ancient too.
