Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist… Electric, Delta, Country and Detroit Blues. He had his own brand of blues. Guitarist and modern urbanized country blues singer, with roots in the rich Delta tradition. He was the son of a sharecropper and spare-time preacher, William, and his wife Minnie. JLH (August 22, 1917 – June 21, 2001) was one of eleven children. His desire to sing and play the blues came from his mother’s 2nd marriage to a sharecropper and spare-time blues singer, William Moore.
