Creative by nature… I’m drawn towards realism and developed a deep yearning to draw and paint what is understood through our traditional “five senses.” Most of my paintings ‘represent’ realism… Striving to strike a balance between painting” tight” and “painterly.”

I began painting in mid-2006 by dabbling in simple acrylic abstracts and gestural art, and moved towards painting architecture and animals. In mid-2007 I tried my hand with watercolors which are mostly simple landscapes. I began painting with oil in early 2008 (my medium of choice), which I primarily paint with today. Soon I’ll experiment with pastels.

Vibrant colors and the profound beauty that surrounds me are my inspirations, and yet, what inspires me is often my greatest challenge to paint! Expanding my horizons with various subjects and techniques and evolving as a painter is always the goal and what moves me spiritually and emotionally…

I also do digital photography – which allows me to capture a moment in time. Some of my favorite subjects are animals of the wild, sea life, landscapes or just a lovely single flower – the stuff of life that moves my spirit… the stuff of life that I often take for granted. I dabble in digital art every now and again.

No matter what creative endeavor I’m involved in; I try to embrace that ‘being in the moment’ is my pearl of great price. Through trial and error I realized that my authentic passion thrives in the creative energy that flows through me and that I am driven to paint, draw, photograph and dabble in digital art through my very nature. I am of the opinion that we all own the inherent ability to be creative in one way or another.
