There are two wildfires burning 60 miles west of us in Los Angeles, California. The sky has been full of smokey clouds for the last two days. And with our 104 degree days we have had awful air quality outside.
This is Gorgeous !
Thank you my little friend Dorothy. I’m always happy to get your comments.
HURRAY……….I saw this and was hoping you would get the shot!!! I have too many obstructions!! Excellent capture Donna!!
I was thinking the same thing about you as I was taking it. The sun is glowing like an eye. I do have trees in the way, as you can see. To bad a wildfire has to make a lovely sunset. How is it over near you with the Yucipa fire? I heard it was headed for Oak Glen. The Labor Day weekend is one of their busy times.
What a beautiful shot of an awful situation! Hope the fires are not moving in your direction!
There is a fire west of Stephanie that started around 3:00 that I was asking her about. So far it is headed west. There isn’t any wind to turn it this way thank goodness. We have these fires every year. because it is so dry around here.
They managed to save Riley Farm and yesterday my sister helped evacuate all of the animals with her horse trailers. My husband just said that it’s getting worse this very second!! The smoke seems to be drifting North so that doesn’t affect us. I went to Yucaipa today and there were firetruck after firetruck heading up that way to fight!!
Wow! Thank you so very much. I am so thrilled.
Oh WOW this is amazing
Isn’t it sad that it is smoke from a wildfire….I’m glad you like it…Thank you….
We’ve had smoky days like this in the Australian summers, particularly in recent years. On the one hand, the scale and ferocity of the fire and smoke is frightening; on the other, the blood-red sun is a spectacle of such beauty.
We have fires every year….I saw a lot of photos put up on that last bad fire that you had in Australia. As you said beautiful sunsets.
