Thank you Travis…bit of an emotional rant I know…abuse is abuse no matter how you slice it.
Websters Definition:
1 : a corrupt practice or custom
2 : improper or excessive use or treatment : MISUSE <drug abuse>
3 obsolete : a deceitful act : DECEPTION
4 : language that condemns or vilifies usually unjustly, intemperately, and angrily
5 : physical maltreatment
synonyms ABUSE , VITUPERATION , INVECTIVE , OBLOQUY , BILLINGSGATE mean vehemently expressed condemnation or disapproval.

Very emotional and sensitive piece;great emotional impact on a profound subject. Alice Miller writes about this in her book Breaking Down the Walls of Silence among others and Pictures Of Childhood that I have included in my writing section. She became aware of being abused through her art work that she published in another important book on this very important subject. Wonderful contribution to our group, the healing journey. You set a strong example of understanding that your are not at fault and instead of playing the victim throughout life, it is important to heal the trauma of emotional, sexual and physical abuse. Great work Donna!!
