Red Quilt (Top Layer WIP) by Donna Huntriss

Currently unavailable for purchase

Hooraaay! I have finished the top layer of my Red Green Leaf Quilt!

The leaves are different as they are not made of two halves made of two colours. Instead I cut out the leaves as one complete leaf. Not only was this easy to glue but to sew (not having the glued seams of the other leaves I had to contend with the other embroidered quilts I have done the past).

Red satin a green satin top layer ( all leaves were hand embroidered onto the red satin square with needle and embroidery hoop).

*This will be on display and for sale at my 2012 Solo Art show – Details here

very beautiful, Donna!! A huge amount of work in this!!

  • Thanks Cath’! It was quite simple and much easier to do than the other ones but the spider one I am doing at the mo’ is quite a challenge too! Looking forward to the cooler weather so I can sew the wadding and green velvet.
