Hedge Maze at Night
I had started with a pencil drawing on paper then transferred it to aceate. Painted acetate and then Ink jet printed on to coloured paper. I then melted embossing powder for the Southern Cross ( a constellation only found in Australia!) and the moon.
It is a night scene in one of my favourite settings – a formal garden with a hedge maze!
Prints of this will available at my February 2009 Solo art show. (see my journal for details).
Hedge Maze at Night belongs to the following groups:
Green!, Illawarra , Pencil Drawing (2 per 24 hrs) and Works On Paper Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

How wonderful! Reminds me of a dream. You would turn the corner and there’d be a tea party of curious beasts!!
Donna Huntriss
thank You. Before I moved back home with my mother I did not have a garden. If I did have it would be something much like this. though this one I wouldn’t have to weed or prune or mow the lawn! I am drawing Oscar and the roses poem and short story so this is the frist scene/setting to it.
avalyn
This has got that loverly naive quality that reminds me of Mexican art. Simple and very evocative!
Makes me want to get back to drawing. Well done!

... hehehe we have the Southern Cross in South Africa, too :-)))) xx and I love mazes. Never been to a hedge maze, though. Only grass ones, but they’re pretty intense, too!
Donna Huntriss replied
I have been to a few mazes that were made of wood ( not as nice as the hedge ones) and we have a hedge maze in a private garden at Berry ( just out of Nowra township).
