Beautiful Donna- Amazing detail and depth !! xx

  • Donna Huntriss replied

Thanks Anita! I had trouble scanning it into my computer as it is a little too big to try and fit on the scanner! This work is one of those “in front of the TV Sketches”.

    Great design, lovely leaves! :)

  • Donna Huntriss replied

Thanks Fesseldreg! I seemed to can’t escape the leaves! LOL!

    Graet detail, as always.

  • Donna Huntriss replied

Thanks Peter! I actually used the Sacred Geometry techniques to get the proportions of the design right ( it is in one of my well loved books by John Michael Greer who is great for constructing figures like this).

just amazing,, will follow your works,, very talented,, I love the simplicity of black and whites and you got it going,, peace and love linmarie

  • Donna Huntriss replied

Thanks Linmarie. Some of these works happen infront of the TV or in my small art space/room. They are quite meditative to do and with lead pencil, if I make a mistake I can always fix it. Blessed Be XX

crotchet or patchwork? I do both of those too!

  • Donna Huntriss replied

I do piece work – applique! I will have to upload an image of my Crow quilt work I had at my solo art show earlier this year in Nowra.

  • Donna Huntriss replied

I have just uploaded and image of my quilt when it was a work in progress! All had sewn and not a machine stitch!

  • Donna Huntriss replied

Thanks Leah! This one is about the same size as the Elemental Pentacle drawing I had done about at the same time. I went through a phase of these mainly done in front of the TV!

This is a superb drawing of a Celtic Knot Donna, which takes a lot of time, patience and dedication! It’s beautiful, well done :-)

  • Donna Huntriss replied

Thanks Constance! I love leaves, they are so meditative to draw. I used John Michael Greer’s method of Sacred Geometry to get the proportions of the symbol right.
