Turtles under the sea

This was a commissioned work for a friend of a a friend. She wanted a wedding present for her two scuba diving friends. The bride apparently really loved sea-horses and turtles! So I completed this in about two days or so as it was a late order!

Thanks Anne! I have been going through my photos of my art works and this one really stood out for me. It was a messy job with all the blue and purple pencils though!

    Fabulous painting..so well done!

  • Donna Huntriss replied

Thanks Cahterine! It is actually a coloured pencil drawing on an A1 piece of paper. It took me about two days to do. And there for a while I did not really want to see another blue pencil after it!

    Peace,
    Leah♥

  • Donna Huntriss replied

Thanks Leah! I try just about anything as far as some media goes, but growing up, coloured pencils were my mainstay! I used to work in really large format too. I did a mural installation of 6 A1 drawings for a local politician’s office. It was a HUGE job, but enjoyable!
