Looks cool Donna… love the depth and layers created with just the leaves… nice! o(~_O)o
Donna Huntriss replied
Thanks Dentanarts! I have just had it laser printed to get the colours bright and clear enough. I have had a lot of fun with the collage and all the possibilities!
fesseldreg
Fabulous! :)

Thanks Fesseldreg!
Anni Morris
Wow…wouldn’t it be great to have this in your garden, quite magical ~ Anni :)
Donna Huntriss replied
I should take some photos of the garden I have at home, this topiary bird would look at home here!
Nick Ford
Love the bright green ‘moon’ highlights! Beautiful and spooky at the same time.
Donna Huntriss replied
Thanks Nick! I love night scenes. I wouldn’t mind wandering through this garden. It is kind of a surreal feeling I get when I paint and draw these scenes.
Anne Hale
Ooooh, this is really quite lovely. I would love to have a garden like this. It looks so enchanting.
Donna Huntriss replied
Thanks Anne. I guess this would be a garden with less upkeep and wouldn’t have to mow the lawn etc! LOL.
AnitaInverarity
Wonderful and Magical. It looks so 3D and dreamlike LOVE IT xx
Donna Huntriss replied
Thanks Anita! The images come out quite vivid on the computer screen. I think this is one of my faves too.
vickymount
I really like this! Love the night scene and depth you have achieved with this.
Donna Huntriss replied
Thanks Vicky! I am experimenting with highlights. After I have laser or inkjet printed a work I paint in the highlights and shading if needed. At the moment I have bits of leaves and garden all over my desk and in the recycle bin in the office!
vickymount
Sounds like your having great fun! I’m looking forward to seeing more. vix
Donna Huntriss replied
It has been quite cool here in Oz so I am getting back to new works and finishing others. It is quite satisfying to see some projects I have had in mind for a while and now see them come to fruition.

Thanks Orla! I have had a lot of fun with the collage. After bits of poor Oscar and now leaves! I should take a photo for the “Falling Leaves” group of the mess I sometimes have! :)))
Elizabeth Burton
Wonderful work…an instant fave :)
Donna Huntriss replied
Thanks Elizabeth! It is one of my faves too. I enjoy the collage backgrounds as I can create a number of scenes the same and add a quirky/odd assortment of creatures to my “Strange Garden”.
Elizabeth Burton
You are very welcome :)
PJ Ryan
so fabulous, i love the beautiful obscurity.
Donna Huntriss replied
Thanks PJ. I love this garden as it is pretty easy to look after and not have to mow the lawns etc! And plus it is kind a garden I would love to venture into at night.

catherine walker
Amazing ..I love your style..this is great!
Donna Huntriss replied
Thanks Catherine! Leaves and gardens and Fish seem to be my thing these days!
Susan van Zyl
Awesome!
I gather from your comments that you paint it, print it and then retouch it with paint and extra cut out leaves
Stunning artwork!
Donna Huntriss replied
That’s right! At first I draw a black and white ( and sometimes coloured pencil) drawing, copy it onto the transparency film, then paint the reverse side, and then either inkjet or laser print it. Then I cut it all our if I need extra leaves. Then I touch up the highlights etc.
mrana
Lovely!
Donna Huntriss replied
Thanks mrana!
Andrea Ida Rausch

Donna Huntriss replied

I love the 3D effect.
Donna Huntriss replied
Thanks Blythart! They are quite vivid when they are printed onto 220gsm gloss card from the xerox shop too. I like the 3D effect too – I guess it is a sneek peek into the strange garden of my mind!
