The Most Beautiful Woman In The World Died Today

The most beautiful woman
in the world die today
The world will never know

You quietly cast among us all
your love and peace in a sweet quiet call

Your hair was dark with shadows hue
You always wore a smile
that said I love, so come inside
and share with me YOU, for a little while

Those eyes could capture anyone’s heart
With just a simple glance
So brown and big and eyelashes long
In them kindness always danced

The years went by with haste and waste
You gave life all you had
The souls you saved and tolls it took
upon you surely sad

The day came when violence struck
your beauty lost its ties
Your eyes closed upon this world
the sun never again to rise

Leaving behind a legacy of loving
that many feel to this day
the tears I shed upon my cheeks
still linger as they lay

They buried you in the place
that took your very life
A place I will never go
for you and I hated all the strife

When ever there is a need to look
upon your lovely face
I gaze into the gardens you loved
which is my favorite place

And when you died your spirit chose
to be apart of me
For this world could not exist
without the beauty of thee

Today I love as you so did
With heart and soul open wide
I know you are here with me
I feel you deep inside

There is a smile upon my face
For the life in me you grace
Our shooting star and our ocean blue
And in loving myself Mom, I honor you

Artist's Description

My Mother was a missionary who loved more deeply than anyone I have ever known. She died as a result of her work. Her death was a traumatic and a horrific way to leave this world but we don’t get to choose that. She touched so many in her 52 years of life than most will ever touch in their lifetimes. So many in fact, that the funeral home could not hold everyone and the two services held for her were not enough for those who said goodbye.
She left a legacy of love behind that reached more than those who actually met her. The anniversary of her senseless death is coming up and I miss her deeply and am so grateful to her for teaching me to love, her legacy.
