Rooms Of My Castle (image poem) by

Rooms Of My Castle

Behind the walls of mortar-ed brick is stashed
Many rooms painted in oils that lasts
Inside each one a life longing to breathe
Afternoon teas, garden bees and skinned knees
Penning on paper a Jokers fodder for sure
Spinning time into gold more precious and pure
One little girl, lost in the maze
Hides in her thoughts creating her days
So mighty the King who would banish the words
The Queen fearing of the costs if ever they were heard
Years melted the walls of painted joy and pain
Creating an inviting escape upon the River Sane
Now a Maiden she lives in the breezes
Frollick’s on beaches and does what she pleases
Pulls down the clouds, eats up the sun
Schmoozes the moon and frosting’s the fun
Every now and then she catches sounds in the mend
Of a Knight to come or perhaps it is only the wind
She is now the Queen, it matters not in the end
Her life that is blessed, her Castle now within

Decided to make you guys a Castle yesterday. I hope you like it. My dog
actually demolished the back half by laying down on it so you only have
the front. Great fun though.

Sometimes imagination can be a comforting diversion. I love living and feel blessed to be able to experience life within each day that comes. Grateful I am and thirsty I will always be for more.

Awesome image and poem!!! Sand castles are the one thing I miss from the beach. Awesomely done!!!

  • Good morning mountain man. I know you can’t see them but I made two mountains in the middle with a few dead trees and shells on the side of one:) Thought you might appreciate the effort:) Whats a Castle without it’s mountains to climb heh!

great write and a cool castle, cant blame hank, he wanted to live there :)
Besides, the queen didn’t mind, she is free and happy…..

  • Yes, she is but thinking Hank needs a spanking. He was trying to get attention and he did! I had him on a lease and when he jumped up at my scream all I saw was him running down the shore with the lease dragging behind and I had to sprint to catch up with him. Such a pain in the butt sometimes:))

It is a beautiful castle and I bow to the lovely queen who thrives in it’s keep. And she keeps it well. Wow, a poem of poems for me ….loved it so, and imagined you thinking of it as you created such magnificence. And silly you, your doggie thought you built it for that very reason!!! Come on, how bored he must have been until that very moment!!! LOL And …by the way, thank you for what you said in your comment to our sweet bear.
Love you Donna : ))) Hugs!! xoxoxoxooxoxoxxoox
