I took this at the full military funeral of my cousin Charlie. Charlie was a good friend, a good cousin, a good Marine, and an honest to goodness hero. He was a combat veteran of WWII, Korea, and two tours of Viet Nam.

He was buried at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery in Fort Leavenworth Kansas.

He is missed.

Back again!

For whatever reason, it seems that I get off on a tangent of some sort, and find myself without RedBubble in my life. The format, etc., is so much different than before. Good different, not bad.

I hope to hook up with a number of old friends here. I miss them.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my work. It’s much appreciated.

A fine tribute to the old soldier. There are few WW2 veterans left now – we owe them so much.
Charlie must have seen so much, good and bad. Did he put them down in memoirs?

Excellent composition, Don. Charlie would be proud of this image. The soldier in his uniform, the textured natural beauty of the tree and the white memorials of the famous military cemetery.

Thanks alot Colin and Michelle. Yeah, ol’ Charlie had his moments. For instance, when he was younger he came out of a bar in Kansas City drunk, tripped on a man-hole cover, got ran over by a taxi, got up and walked away! He was a pretty tough dude in those days. Had tread marks on his back for years.

Thank God, he married a wonderful woman and was a born again Christian when he died.
