My lovely wife of almost 46 years (search for lynnieellie on redbubble), and I are kind of unique I think. After all this time, we remain the best of friends and lovers, and the honeymoon has never ended.

I had no interest what-so-ever in photography until the late 1980’s when Lynne needed photos of her original paintings for her portfolio. I bought a really inexpensive Ricoh manual everything camera, and loved it. I had to learn the whole gamut in order to get anything at all. At the time I always used a tripod and cable release. Digital cameras have ruined me!

Once I was setting up to take photos of a beautiful lake in eastern Oregon when my cable release for the Ricoh broke. Far be it from me to let such a “minor” problem set me back. In fact, all I could think of was “Oh Crap!!!). At the time I constantly chewed toothpicks, and still do. Aha!, there IS an answer to this problem. I happened to have a well chewed toothpick in my mouth, so I took it and gently pressed the release button with the soggy end of it. Kind of a gross story I know, but I got some of the best photos I’ve ever taken that way.

I hope you’ll enjoy my photos, and any comment or critique is valued.

I would like also to refer you to my wife’s site where she shows most of her paintings. God has blessed her mightily with the gift of oil and watercolor painting.

For those of you interested in floral macro shots, the finest photographer I can think of is our good friend Michele Duncan IPA, also here in Red Bubble.

God bless you all, and good shooting to you.
