Eastbourne Sussex England UK – From Beachy Head.
Camera Nikon D700 with 28-300mm Nikon Lense.
ISO 200, 1/80th sec, f/11, 300mm, Handheld.
On Thursday, my day off, I travelled to the South Coast of England from London. It was not a promising start, heavy rain followed me almost all the way, but when I arrived at Eastbourne the sun popped out of the clouds. It was a very windy day and lots of clouds kept floating overhead, some were quite threatening, but it didn’t rain. I loved the changing light patterns on the sea and the buildings.
This view from the top of Beachy Head is probably more famous than I realise, but I loved it and stood gazing for ages watching the sun doing a merry dance on the landscape below.
From here I climbed up to the top and captured a few shots of Beachy Head Lighthouse from the sheer cliff-tops. Awesome and breathtaking it was. At the top a young woman sat looking quite serious, many people come here to commit suiside. I asked if she was OK and noticed her rummaging in her bag, when she pulled out a sandwich, I was so relieved:-) Wonder even now, why she was looking so perplexed. Perhaps it was a strange guy staring at her. Ah well onwards and upwards.
