St Luke’s Church Spire. West Norwood, London, UK.
My Place of Work A capture of my Church from my Bedroom Window on a bright but cloudy day. It’s great to see my place of work from home because when I see it, it reminds me that God is watching over me.

I’d just returned after speaking about being close to God to the Congregation. We were reading from the Gospel of Mark Chapter 3 and verses 21-35. In that bit of the Bible Jesus mother and brothers had come to get him, because people were saying that he was mad and some religious leaders had come down from Jerusalem to say that the miracles Jesus did were by the power of Satan {the Devil}. However, there were others gathered around Jesus, listening to his teaching. When someone told him his mother and brothers were outside and wanted him to go to them, Jesus said somthing really profound. Looking at those sitting around about him he said, “These are my brothers, sisters and mother, those who do the will of God.”

It’s strange how one’s own sermon can challenge. I felt challenged today and I asked myself this question about my life, “Am I doing the will of God?” All I know is that by emulating Jesus, loving my enemies, forgiving those who hurt me and doing to others what I’d have them do for me and putting God first in all things, I’ll stay close to Him. I’m not perfect, I’m not what I should be, I’m not what I could be, but by the grace of God, I am what I am. I’ll try…
