I wanted to try and capture the majesty of the amazing Durdle Door rock formations. Got some funny looks as I was trying all different positions on the beach… :-) Taking photos that is, for those with over-active minds:-)
The formation looks almost pre-historic, durassic. They call the south coast of Dorset the Durassic coastline. My wife says it looks like a monster dipping it’s head in the water… She’s got an over-active imagination too:-)
The light was changing every few moments as the sun danced behind some clouds. It’s so refreshing visiting the coast after being stuck in London for a couple of weeks. Must be the sailor in me, having spent 17 1/2 years in the Royal Navy, it’s not easy living land-locked in the city. But then London has it’s attractions too.
