Dartmoor Cathedral in the Rain.
Dartmoor Devon, UK.

Camera Nikon D40x with 18-55mm Kit Lense.

This is the typical weather on Dartmoor;-) Some will find it difficult to see why I love this place so much, but the rain sometimes stops and the sun often shines between storms. When the sun breaks through the clouds it will take your breath away with startling beauty for your eyes to behold. Makes getting wet so worth while. But here’s a rainy scene for you to enjoy before the sunshine:-) Notice just a hint of the rainbow…

The little dog is called Bruno, he loves the rain too… For a couple of years I looked after Bruno during the day when my daughter was working. What glorious adventures we’ve had and he’s such a great companion. Never complains when I stop to take a photo, he uses the opportunity to snout around:-) LOL…wish my wife could learn to do that:-) LOL. Only kidding darling…

Fabulous shot Don, a fave for sure. Love the composition and the view – that rain isn’t half coming down and yes I can see the rainbow. Stunning shot, well worth getting wet through to take it.

  • Thank you very much Gary. It’s always good to get up to the high places and even if it means; getting wet, lost in the fog or stuck in a bog and exposed to the elements there’s always such a reward. Peace, quiet, air, views…
