A Cornflower’s Glory South London, UK. Springtime 2010.
Captured in my blue border in the garden, whilst looking it’s best in Spring 2010.

There is something wonderful about cornflowers in the Springtime. It seems to me they are reaching up for the warmth of the sun after a cold winter and join with all nature in the glorious song of new life at this time of the year. As I captured this some robins were looking out for their newly fledged chicks just a few feet away. One landed on a little table and chirped as if to join in with the cornflower’s song. I found myself being drawn into nature’s colourful dance. However, resisting the impulse to life my feet and prance about with abandoned gayity, I pressed the button on my Niko and captured it for you all to see:-) Now, I’m joining in with the natural festive throng:-)
Camera Nikon D700 with 70-300mm Macro Lense.
ISO 500, 1/200th sec, f/13.0, 270mm. Tripod mounted.
