Seaford Bay from Newhaven: East Sussex, UK
Camera Nikon D700 with 24-120mm Lense.
HDR created with 8 exposures from one RAW file.
This was actually a terrible picture rescued because of the information that a RAW file records. It was shot into the light, and was very contrasty. After adjusting the exposure settings in Lightroom, 4 stops either side, I exported them to Photomatrix Pro3, and after adjusting the settings, this is what came out. I know this could also have been achieved in Photoshop, but think of all the time saved. I’ve treid Photomatrix with three exposures, but didn’t like the colour shifts it produced. Taking more exposures helps the software to decide and produces much less dramatic effects.
The original picture is uploaded for information so that others can see what can be achieved. Hope this helps someone. Don.

wonderful work, love this.
Hi Debbie, thanks for that my friend. It was actually a rescued picture from the one in the information sidebar, which as you can see was rather contrasty, but due to the information contained within RAW files, I was able to perform an acceptable rescue. Thanks again my friend. Don.
