Tinner’s Hounds Statue / Monument Redruth Cornwall. Tinner’s Hounds Half way down the main street in Redruth stands this wonderful little monument to Tinning in Cornwall, along with other new pieces popping up everywhere in the town celebrating thousands of years of tin mining in Cornwall. Redruth was the Mining Capital of the World for hundreds of year, if not thousands. People even came here from the ancient Empired to purchase tin; Greeks, Romans, etc…
This little group of Tinners Hounds is made of bronze and completely formed from the boots miners would wear down the old mines.

Hi Rod, did you manage to see the new statues in Redruth and Camborne whilst you were down? Truro is also a fantastic City to visit, the lovely old and new.
