Rye Railway Station Grade ll Listed Building. The old Railway Station in Rye really jumped out at me as I walked past, it was built around 1850, it was designed by William Tress and true to the era was designed Italianate style, with projecting wings and a recessed portico. It is supported on Tuscan columns. Rye Railway Station is a Grade II listed building.
I liked the two taxi drivers hanging around waiting for custom.
