London Rioting: A Prayer Meeting in London. *Update* by DonDavisUK

Posted on August 09, 2011

In response to the rioting, looting, violence and disorder.
St Luke’s Church, West Norwood, London; is hosting a
Special Prayer Meeting @ 2.00pm Today

Many thanks for all your wonderful comments below. Thank God things are beginning to calm down now. Answered Prayer.
Many people from different churches came together in St Luke’s Church yesterday and we prayed, read the Bible and sang hymns. It was wonderful to see that everyone had a heart for peace, justice and protection of the police and firemen.

*West Norwood" There was real tension in the streets and most shops closed hours earlier than normal, some even boarded up their premises. Others were standing guard with baseball bats and cricket bats to protect their property. People were worried because we’d heard that gangs had looted Crystal Palace and Camberwell and were converging on West Norwood, but it didn’t happen.

The only shop to be broken into was the Loan / Gold buyers shop. They charge greedy extortionate interest rates on their loans and poor people get into more debt as a result. So personally I was not to sad to see that. In fact I’d been praying against that shop for weeks. However, every other shop was OK. Praise God.

However, there is still a weird / fearful atmosphere in London. People are very edgy. Please pray for a return to peaceful normality. I’m wondering now how all this will affect the Olympic Games next year?

We’ve invited the Community, Government Officials, Police, Firemen and Businesses to come and pray.

If you cannot be there, be praying.

God bless you all.

Don.

Good on yer Don. Hope this summer madness ends soon. The people responsible should know that no-one in this country supports what they are doing and the sooner they are behind bars the better.
