Foot of An Angel
The foot of the Angel of the North: Newcastle, UK.
The awesome Angel of the North is the largest sculpture in Great Britain which measures 65 feet tall, with a wonderful wingspan of 175 feet. Antony Gormley’s Angel of the North is now, probably, the most famous publick work of modern art. There’s something magical and strange about the Angel, you have to be there to feel it though.
How lovely on the mountains are the feet of those who bring Good News.
Foot of An Angel belongs to the following groups:
Complex Simplicity of Art, European Everyday Life (add the place!), Statues and Such, UK to Australia and Back and United Kingdom Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

Hey there Shirley, thanks for that, it’s even better standing under the wings of the angel. Reminde me so much of the encouragements in the Bible about being protected by the Lord.

DonDavisUK replied
Hi Carol, I saw it again on the way down from Edinburgh on New Year’s Eve, but it was too dark and far away from the train window to catch a shot. It’s a great place to visit though. I was also looking at Newcastle and thinking what a great city with so many spectacular new buildings, I’d love to spend more time there taking in the sights and capturing some more images. Thanks for viewing and commenting. Have a great 2009. Don.
