The end of a beautiful day, sometime,s if we’re lucky, ends with a beautiful sunset. Some, that I have viewed seem so wild and free. Hot, wild colors streaking across the sky, painting it’s heart desire before taking a well earned rest. The other wonderful, very alive thing, that I think about, is horses. I never tire of seeing them run and frolic in a wide open space or lying on their back enjoying a good scratch. They just seem to broadcast to the world at large that life is so good. After all it is the simple things that bring the most happiness and most of those are free for the asking. When was the last time that you raced across an open field, or lay on your back looking up at the stars or enjoyed a beautiful sunset. All free for the asking, all promising great joy and a sense of freedom. Gifts just waiting for you to receive them. Let’s grasp our freedoms before they become memories of things that you wish that you had taken advantage o,f when you had the chance. All of these things, to me are things that I can do for myself. So what does it require to enjoy more of these simple gifts. For me, it’s less time in front of the tv or computer. I usually enjoy the sunset while I’m doing the dishes. How do people survive without a window over their kitchen sink. Perhaps I will grab a cup of tea and go outside to enjoy the sunset. Oh yea and take some pictures of it with my camera. At least then when I’m too infirm to get outside, by myself, I have the memory of a picture or two to remind me just what it felt like. Now what field did I see those horses running in and where did I leave my camera!
