I always admired birds and butterflies that migrated. Their sense of direction and timing as to when they migrate seems so right on. Of course, I could get lost in a cardboard box with a large arrow pointing the way out, so this kind of natural phenomenon just amazes me! I thought that there should be a unique way to make it easier on these creatures to get where they need to be without all of that muss and fuss. So this image is my contribution. A time bending vortex to shorten the trip to just minutes, no damaged wings, no bent antennae, just a nice safe short trip. However this is for butterflies only, I’ll have to figure out something different for my bird friends. And all of this from someone who has trouble having a GPS device telling her where to go!
Background image is my earlier image A Shortcut, butterflies added as composite layers, radial blur added for vortex effect.

Hi Carolyn, I think that it’s called radial blur in Photoshop. I’m taking a photography class at BetterPhoto on line and we had to do an image using this tool. It’s a lot of fun! Thanks for the great comment and fav! Dee
