The magic time between when the sun lets go and the moon takes over. A very moody time, when all that has the light in front of it are silhouetted against it. The water picks up the remaining light of the sunset and spreads it over the top of the water like frosting and turns it to a shade of gold only found at this time of day. The moon, only half full, will not add much definition to the shadows that already exist, beyond the golden light. Three horses that have come to cool off in the cool water,
add to this place’s mystique.
Original post sunset, horizon image taken in Shady Cove, Oregon. Using photoshop and layers, I added the image of a half moon, I then added the flood filter to create the water. The right frontal land mass and the horses were added as composites.
