Do memories remain long after lovers are gone? If you sit here, will you hear the whispered sighs and the lingering goodbyes of those who spent a quiet afternoon wrapped in each others arms. Does the tenderness remain, long after they have gone?
I would like to think that I could feel the dreams that they had for future times together. As the seasons change around this spot, those memories remain, once caught on the breeze as it moved thru the trees, bits of it remain causing the autumn leaves to turn a brighter tone of red and gold and brown. The trees will tell you, if you listen, that once there was yearning, and words of desire spoken here and now those same people also in the autumn of their life, still love, still cherish that day that meant so much to them, so long ago!
