Heceta Head Lighthouse Florence Oregon by

Heceta Head Lighthouse, constructed in 1894, is located off of highway 101, 11 miles north of Florence, Oregon. The tower of the lighthouse, rises 205 feet above the sea and it’s beam can be seen about 21 miles out to sea. A keeper’s house, restored to it’s original Queen Anne style, has been converted to a bed and breakfast.
Original image photographed off of highway 101 outside of Florence, Oregon. Image taken with a Canon 7D and an EF 70-300mm DO telephoto lens at 300mm, 1/1250s, F 5.6, ISO 1250.
Two textures by Painted Textures applied by using layers in Photoshop CS6. Image processed in Vivezia from Nik Software by Google. Photoshop’s Oil Painting filter used in the final processing of the image.

I’m a 65 year old retired grandmother that loves photography. I love being out in nature and love lots of color, so Autumn is my favorite time of year.
Forests and forest light, waterfalls, flowers and insects are also some of my favorite subjects to photograph.
