It rained the two days that we were at Newport, Oregon. I wanted to get a coastal sunset and thought that it would elude me completely until I saw this for one golden moment. It’s not the kind of sunset that has colored stripes going across the sky as if someone painted it but only God could have painted this one. For a few moments the sky and water were turned to gold and the sun managed to reflect itself onto the sand. Then the sun quickly disappeared behind a cloud and was finished for the evening. I think that all sunsets are pretty special but this one was priceless.
