Congratulations on this wonderful shot Dee, Is that at Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon? The shots I took there never looked as good as one !! (But that was 4years ago)
Yes, Chuck it was taken at Wildlife Safari, several years ago. It was my first digital camera. A lot of my photos didn’t turn out because of the light, time of day, a lot of animals were resting. I’d love to go back and try again!
It is amazing to see how they can balance on one leg while they are resting or sleep. They are also lovely subjects to photograph because of their colors. Not far from the place where I live, just across the German border, stays a little population of “wild” flamingo’s and they are breeding there. Congratulation my friend it is a well deserved feature.
Thanks Minne, those flamingo that you spoke about, I hope that you get to photograph them, I look forward to seeing them! Thanks for the comment and the congratulations!
Me too! I was there with my oldest granddaughter with my first digital camera same time same place. LOL Maybe I will go back with the younger ones when they are older.
They stand on one leg because if they lifted BOTH legs, they’d fall :) [it’s a joke that goes back to my childhood, which was all the way back into last century! :)]

Good idea, Chuck, the kids really enjoy this spot, when we went though it was hot, I think it would be best to go in spring or late fall!
