    It’s certainly a beautiful scene, and your composition and exposure are great. However, your focus on the X might be overlooking a few things. I realize I MIGHT be reading too much into this, but what about the Y? ...and there’s an L below that! There’s definitely a V, and I can see a big E. Of course an I is there… kinda makes the word “lively” :)

    What a great eye you have! I never saw those other letters, ok to you this image is called lively! However I would have to add some action, cause to me this image is very peaceful, although that river was sure flowing fast, but Elk creek was sloooooooooooow! Dee

    I think your shot shoulda won cos yours is a letter made by nature rather than a boring piece of barbed wire.Your shot has texture, lighting, composition, the beauty of nature – what has barbed wire got ‘going for it’.
