Hello and Welcome!
I’m an avid amateur photographer and love to take landscape and nature photos.
Other interests: Painting, reading, gardening, sewing, cooking and my family.
I currently have an Olympus DSLR. It is my 4rth Olympus. I originally had an Evolt 300 and then went to the new 420 because it was lighter in weight and easier for my small hands to hold, then just recently, I purchased an Olympus 520, because of the built in stabilizer in the camera body. I recently updated to the E-620 because it is a12mega pixle camera with many more features and that wonderful new screen. I am still getting acquainted with it. I just added a telephoto lens and a 50mm lens to my equipment. I am currently experimenting with the different settings on my camera and I love to use the Raw setting and do post production in Photoshop. I use the manual setting quite a bit for macro and I’m starting to work with AP and SP settings to see what they can do for my creativity.
I love to paint from some of my photos and currently I’m working in acrylics and occasionally, water mixable oils combined with acrylics. I also paint on glass and wood with enamels and acrylic paint.
I appreciate any words of wisdom that you might have for me, and I welcome this spot to network with people that have similar interests. I will be very excited, when I sell any of my work, but meanwhile I’m enjoying the experience.
