It should come as no surprise, that after growing up in the beautiful country of South Africa, that I would have a passionate appreciation for nature and animals. Being a frustrated artist who cannot draw, I started to focus on trying to create and share my images with a camera. I am now an eternal tourist, travelling light and ever hopeful to capture an award winning photo!
I have travelled to many parts of the USA, southern Africa and seen a small portion of Europe – there is still soooooooo much that I want to see of this world.
I use two SONY digital cameras and still a bit hesitant to touch up my photos, because my personal opinion is that photography is about one’s talent with a camera, how we use that talent, and not about our ability to manipulate computer software. I do want to learn more about HDR photography, but am in no hurry as I see this art moving in the direction of overkill.
My friends have been my biggest supporters and their encouragement has continued to inspire me. I’m ever hopeful that one day I’ll be able to take that award winning photo because I was at the right place at the right time. I am unashamed to admit that I have become An Addicted Photographer.
