Soapbox

the words of one you may meet on the street!
who knows who, when you find them on the street?

Soapbox belongs to the following groups:

!* Dark Cabaret *!, ! 100% !, ***♂♥♥QUORN♥♥♀, All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, Anything Edinburgh, Behind the Mask, Everyday Life, Freedom In Words & Art, Scotlands History, The Scots are Coming, The Sensual Word, United Kingdom and Up & Coming Writers

This soapbox that I own,
it is my greatest prize.
Allows me to stand aloft,
makes my voice rise.

Head and shoulders above the rest,
it make my words sound clear.
But before you start to runaway,
they’re only words, nothing to fear.

But whilst I stand atop, sshh!
my words I need to say.
Tis my equal right, my opinion
to give, on this god forsaken day.

So hold your tongue still now,
let me finish my verbal show.
Only when I am done,
will I tell you when, to go!

Words is all we have…it aids the emotions..which are so difficult to release…I like it ..it flows your Poetry…..

  • dogfish replied

thanks. Poetry scares me, I feel it may show a little more than one is prepared to show, normally!

I guess if you dont open..you’ll never know your limits…and what on this earth is normal…one wonders

  • dogfish replied

haw hey having looked through your work I thoroughly bow to you statement above, for you have captured not just frames but true emotions, enviroments and souls, then relayed them for the viewer to interpret. As opposed to leading the viewer!
So with your experience you would certainly know that this world of ours has no normality, other than birth, life and death!
