so hard to understand,
fighting back malaise,
till a trance I fall
circle the naked fire
I dance for my soul.
light the dawn of day,
my fight no longer stays.
when I lose myself,
I relinquish in every way.
tis no fire that’s there
please hold me,
steady my sway.
drink from thy chalice,
my blood, an offer to thee,
consume eternal conflicts,
as I step to alters higher.
I lie down without protest,
to sleep atop this pyre.
