Lake Louise is a small lake near Miller, South Dakota where I spent the first 17 years of my life. As kids we would would camp here with the family, go boating with grandpa and grandma, swim, roast marshmallows, celebrate birthdays and reunions. I had not been back to see the lake in nearly 20 years. In a trip back this autumn with my canoe, I saw the shoreline with new eyes and a different appreciation for the place that had been so familiar to me as a child.

Wonderful memories Dawne and great shot!!!!!!!!
Thank you! It looked so much different than it did when I was a kid… strange how our perspective changes from childhood to adult.

And I love the description. Thank you for sharing a childhood memory.
Thank you… very much appreciated — they are great memories and I was glad to get a picture that helps depict some of the romanticism I feel about being there. :)
