From an old railroad bridge which crosses the Niobrara river in Nebraska just before it empties into the Missouri river, you can see the where the river water formed channels and sandbars. I have had this image on my computer for a while and never posted it because I thought maybe it was just “too easy”. But it keeps growing on me and the simplicity and purity of it give me a sense of serenity that seems a direct result of the “less is more” philosophy.

    I couldn’t agree with you more, a beautiful example of minimalism can convery so much in its simplicity! Yes, tranquility and peace come to mind..
    Excellent composition and a shot that has impact but a quiet one….
