It has been a fantastic summer for sharing my photography and meeting new people and LEARNING the in’s and out’s of exhibiting my work.
I want to say a HUGE thanks to Yankton Area Arts for selecting my image “Ice on The Missouri” 
for their juried exhibit and awarding it the honor of Best of Show in their August 8th judging! I was absolutely astounded and thrilled to death!
I am also extremely delighted to be the winner of the May photo competition in Midwest Living Magazine . They chose “Childhood Dreams” 
out of thousands of astounding entries in their competition to be a prize winner (I won a Flip video camera!) and my image will be included in their end of the year competition for a grand prize of $3500! I’d encourage anyone with a love for the Midwest and photography to check out their online website and upload some of your favorite images!
It has also been a great month in RedBubble features and challenges. I applaud our group hosts efforts - you guys are amazing and your time volunteering to review, post and comment on images does not go unnoticed or unappreciated!- whoever you are!— who purchased these works!
I also sold a laminated print of “Djembe drum” 
and 3 cards of this same image on RedBubble and a card of “Colors from the Earth” 
and “Fragility”

Locally I have been extremely happy to have sold framed prints of “Face to Face” 
, “Spirit Mound Sunset” 
, and “Heaven and Earth” 
I have wished for years that I could figure out a way to share my work with people and RedBubble has helped to set me out on that path. Thank you to RedBubble and this entire community. Every sale or award for any work of mine makes me feel so much more eager to do BETTER and try harder to be worthy of these great honors.

Ken, thank you! I do hope it is an encouragment. I don’t journal about all the times I have felt so discouraged and wondered about if my pictures are “good enough” or if it matters enough to keep trying to share it with other people… but here is hope and proof that there is joy in sharing and not to get discouraged!

Robin, Thank you for the great response.. I sometimes feel so stupid when I am trying to figure out how to share about these kinds of “happenings”. I want to share the happiness but not put people off by what ‘sounds’ so often to my own ears like bragging!! I just know that I’ve dealt with so much discouragement often times and I never want to make someone feel discouraged by talking about anything good that happens for me. yet I don’t like to celebrate alone :0) so thank you and thanks for being so supportive!
