Buck and Doe
These two waited very very patiently for me to change lenses on my camera, and take their picture. I love the natural curiosity of deer and their characteristic grace and elegance. It was late autumn when I took this picture West of the Badlands of South Dakota somewhere.

Aren’t they beautiful??? Love their face markings and those BIG ears! How good of them to wait to pose for you – the pose is perfect as are the details and natural colours! ;o)

Thanks Krys! I think the female was actually starting to get bored with me by the time I got around to taking the shot.

It’s always a thrill to see deer, glad they waited for you, so we could see these too!
Dawne Olson replied
Thanks Donna.. .and yes it is for me as well. They are not as easy to see where I live in the eastern part of the state as they are out West but they are still plentiful.
