I once touched a beetle,
not by hand but on the heart,
with a tiny drop of treacle,
on a crumb of lemon tart.
Then I fed it pork chops,
topped with apple sauce,
and a half a dozen oysters,
finished off first course.
For mains I served a turkey,
that I’d stuffed inside a goose,
and a kilo of beef jerky,
in a tub of chocolate moose,
Dessert was frozen fish cakes,
with sardines set in jelly,
and a tuna flavoured milkshake,
blended with trevelli.
that bug deserved a medal,
for eating all that food,
so I gave it a rose petal,
and a photo of me nude !
